Inklings is a full-color, 32-page magazine published by and for the members of the AWCP (nine issues per year). Apart from our printer, designer, and local consultant editor, it is produced entirely by volunteers, from writing and editing to photography and advertising. Inklings is truly a labor of love, and is widely regarded as one of the best magazines of its kind in the region. We offer our readers a broad range of articles, including: AWCP events coverage, human-interest pieces, features on local culture, beauty and fashion finds, restaurant reviews, places of interest in Manila (and across southeast Asia), and tips for surviving your tour of duty as an expat in the Philippines.
Any AWCP member can join the Inklings staff—we welcome newcomers with open arms! Whether you’re an ace journalist, a closet blogger, or just someone interested in the inner workings of a magazine, we’re always looking for people to offer fresh insights and perspectives. The staff meets on the second Friday of each month to discuss possible articles and make assignments. Then it’s on to the important stuff—lunch! We choose a restaurant for our resident critic to review as we share food and conversation.

Even if you can’t attend every meeting or can take only the occasional assignment, we’d love to have you on the team. In fact, several of our regular feature writers can’t always attend the meetings but still produce brilliant copy and are valued as key contributors. If you’d like to see for yourself what this spirited bunch is up to, just let us know!
